Councillor Services

As your City Councillor for Meadowbrook-Strathcona,

I can help expedite repair and maintenance of City of Kingston property:
  • Identify potholes for repair
  • Identify burned out lights for replacement
  • Identify dead trees for removal, stump grinding, and replacement at a 2:1 ratio
  • Facilitate trail and park grass cutting
  • Catch City missed garbage and recycling pickups
  • Install, repair, and/or replacement of City street signs
  • Installation of public service signs such as: "No Dumping," "Deaf Children," "Do Not Block Intersection," and "No Parking" signs
  • Facilitate tree trimming when it is a hazard to people or power lines
  • Investigate any unusual or discriminatory practice
I can help with community organization and civic engagement around issues:
  • Answering or find the answer to questions about City of Kingston programs, policies, and/or procedures
  • Facilitating assessments for traffic calming studies and deployment of hardware
  • Facilitating petitions, petition drives, and their presentation to Council
  • Publicly raise your concern at Council with issues on the City Council agenda
  • Contacting and helping to navigate the City of Kingston bureaucracy
  • Facilitating the setup of community gardens and skating rinks
  • Being able to administer legally recognized oaths in my role as a Commissioner for Taking Oaths
  • Adding residents to the delegation list thereby enabling people to speak directly to City Council on issues that are on the agenda
With the support of at least 6 other councillors and within the legal limits set by the Province, I can help:
  • Change programs, policies, procedures, and bylaws
  • Set the tax rate
  • Prioritize the direction of how the City of Kingston deploys resources through the strategic plan
  • Place your strategic ideas into the strategic plan

I am always available to hear your concerns every Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the Kingston Coffee House in the Kingston Centre.
